METAL INDUSTRIALISM
For optimum toughness, Huawei nova’s rear shell is made from aviation-strength magnesium and aluminium alloy. The shell is then sand blasted with carefully selected ceramics, creating a textured back that both aids grip and adds sheen. An oblong composite plate decorates the metallic rear shell, creating a modern sense of contrast. Huawei nova’s ultra-thin industrial design is completed with a subtly curved section of 2.5D glass. It meets the rounded outer edges of the phone to provide a perfect fit in your hand.

A JOY TO HOLD
Using leading diamond-cutting techniques, we have created perfect curvature on Huawei nova’s corners. The result is a tantalising symmetry whereby all corners refract and reflect light. The R&D department dedicated countless hours of experimentation and prototyping to achieve this. Our process uses more probes to control the CNC (Computer Numeric Control) toolpath, meaning Huawei engineers can diamond cut with even greater precision. The widths of Huawei nova’s edges are subsequently consistent with all other edges of the device.

1.25µm LARGER PIXEL
Effortlessly capture rich and clear images with Huawei nova’s 12 megapixel rear camera. Sporting a larger 1.25µm pixel size, an F2.2 wide-aperture lens and a unique camera coating; the resulting clarity and detail are outstanding.

LOW LIGHT
With its wide-aperture lens and large sensor area, combined with a larger 1.25µm pixel size, Huawei nova produces glorious brightness and contrast under low light conditions. The lens coating further improves reflectivity, reduces ghosting and minimizes glare.

FAST FOCUS
Seize spontaneous moments with Huawei nova’s composite auto-focusing system. Two focus technologies work in tandem: PDAF phase focusing and CAF contrast focusing. PDAF is used to rapidly focus, whereas CAF compares the clarity of two different images in order to deliver greater detail. By blending two modes, Huawei nova quickly renders extremely high quality real-time images.

4K VIDEO
Huawei nova shoots ultra-high-definition video, recording stunning vibrancy and detail. Even when casting to large screens, your videos are guaranteed to look incredible.

With an 8MP front camera, Beauty Skin 3.0 and Beauty Make-up 2.0, plus a fingerprint panel at the back of the device, taking effortlessly beautiful selfies is at your fingertips.
The new algorithm within beauty mode is the culmination of our collaboration with international makeup artists. Bespoke blush and lip gloss are matched to your unique face shape and skin colour. Eight templates are available, along with real-time previews. You can even explore an industry-first: eyebrow makeup beauty effects. Huawei nova’s enhanced skin software also optimizes facial features in both photos and videos. Subtle adjustments are made to skin tone and eye size.
